I enjoyed my stay at the cherry tree hotel the bed was very comfortable. The host was very professional friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again and hope to do so soon. My only dislike is the breakfast although there is plenty they do not do a fried breakfast anymore. This is important to me as I usually leave and do a days work as I head home so a good breakfast helps till I get home. Other than that I’d fully recommend this hotel

We have just spent 2 nights at the Cherry Tree very impressed with out Kingsize Bedroom so much room being downstairs in the property it was nice and quite,there has been a couple of changes made since we stayed there last year one of them being breakfast which is now continental of which there was a very good varied selection of things to eat,the location of the cherry tree makes it easy and accessible to get to the town and other surrounding areas one of them being the beach just minutes walk,thank you Emily for making us welcome and was nice to see Mel .

Noticed that Cherry Tree had good reviews last year, so decided to book in.When I booked in, I was a little bit surprised by the way the young lady informed me that my room was just above my head and that the breakfast room was the second on the left.The impression was that the term hospitality had become very remote.I understand that it was her second day as a member of staff.It later transpired that the welcome was actually top notch and so was breakfast.I had no idea that you could order waffle with cream and all the trimming for breakfast. It is an Edwardian small hotel with the features you might expect from that era. When I left the lady who receptioned me waited for me in order to allow me to catch the bus at 11:50.I would recommend this charming hotel warmly.It is worth giving a warm welcome to guests as they pay for a lovely room.It is similar to asking for a pint and be given a smile as a bonus.

Very welcoming, lovely decor, guest lounge had everything you would want.Breakfast had a good variety and well cookedOur bedroom really nice again there was a tea, coffee water, biscuits and good toiletries.Although really hot when we were there room very pleasant temperature.We liked where it was positioned near the beach and promenade pleasant walk to shops andthe pier.Restaurants within in walking distance.We were lucky with parking but I imagine might be a problem in high season.Would not hesitate to stay again.

Small but very pleasant guest house with a warm welcome and fine breakfast, convenient for the sea front and not too far from the town centre. Room well provided for although basin in the room occupied rather small if you like a traditional wet shave. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect - Just what we wanted, very close to the beach area & perfect for the Eastbourne Airshow which we went to on Sunday & only a short distance from the evening Fireworks!Breakfast choices are superb, with a local Sussex sourced option!

The Cherry Tree is very well located - close to the front,the theatre and not far from restaurants. Quiet at night though which we appreciated. We had a friendly welcome. Our room was fine, the bathroom was a bit cramped, but all clean.Breakfast was very good with a different menu and lots of interesting choices. The waffle with fresh fruit was particularly lovely!It is a family run B and B and any issues we had (finding a hairdryer, the door key not working!) were quickly smoothed out.Would stay again!

Welcoming, comfy beds, excellent cooked breakfast, lots of extras like toiletries, television, tea and coffee. Ideally situated a few metres from the beach, bus into town, theatres etc

We booked 2 rooms, 1 for me and hubby and the other for 32yr old son(but special needs) The rooms were stunning, each having different decor but so very tastefully done. On his own, my son said he felt completely safe and comfortable and everything he needed was available and easy to use. Our room was just as beautiful and the bathroom, although you'd probably call it "compact' had everything, even if you went in winter, heated towel rail. Overall, the hotel was spotless and welcoming. Now, we get to breakfast!!!! (Extensive for a b&b) phew! Where to start??!! All we can say is...... Flipping beautiful, tasty, fantastic quality, you certainly "get your money's worth" nothing is too much trouble and wow.... Just wow! Cherry tree, keep doing what you're doing, we'll certainly be back and will highly recommend to our friends xxx

This is a fantastic B & B in a lovely residential part of Eastbourne and only 1 minute from the sea! The room was of a very high standard with fresh towels, nice selection of toiletries and decent biscuits! The breakfast was amazing and hot milk for my coffee. There is lots of free parking close by. Thoroughly recommend.

Good B&B, clean rooms, helpful owners and great breakfast. Located just one block from the beach of Eastbourne and a 10 min. walk from the town center. Enough room to for parking in the neighbourhood.

Best breakfast I have had in any B&B accommodation. 3 of the rooms are up 4 flights of stairs, so be prepared if you have old knees, asthere is no lift. Clean room, comfortable bed, tea-making facilities in the room. Magnifying mirror supplied - a rare find! Easy, free car parking. A few minutes walk to the sea front. Would recommend it.

What a lovely guest house, with very welcoming owner, who had vast knowledge of the local area, sent me to a lovely Thai restaurant.I messaged Melanie to inform her I would be arriving later than check in stipulated, no problem I was greeting with.Rooms are very clean and tidy as was the full guest house,Breakfast next day was excellent, and plenty to choose from, staff very polite and courteous.Fab location less than 5 min walk to sea front and close to restaurants and shops.I will definitely be staying here again

Arrive a little later than wanted and was greeted by a very friendly and helpful host. The price for the room is more than fair. Clean room I must add that they cater well for gluten free people like myself and the breakfast with gluten free sausage included was excellent. I may add it was proper butcher’s sausage too.

We found Colin and Melanie very welcoming, the room was cosy and our dog was made to feel at home. Not our first timestaying at the Cherry Tree and I doubt it will be our last.

I stayed here with my adult (22) daughter.We both really loved it.Great location near to the promenade and restaurants.Street Parking is free - initially we had to park one street over but that wasn't really a problem.The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable; one really nice touch was having oatmilk sachets and having a fridge in the room was a bonus.The breakfast was amazing.Such a great selection, catering for every taste, including vegan.Quality local produce. My daughter had the most amazing scrambled egg with smoked salmon and spinach.I had the traditional breakfast which was delicious.Also latte / cuppucinoflat white included.Couldn't recommend highly enough.

The Cherry Tree is a friendly and well-run guest house.Upon arrival I was able to sit out in the front garden with a cup of tea.I found the Cherry Tree to be good value and the quality of the beverages and ingredients used for breakfast was of a high standard.The menu was so varied that I chose a full English/Sussex breakfast one day and just had to try the coconut porridge with mango, coconut milk/shards and chia seeds the next.The Cherry Tree is in a great location - minutes from the Towner Gallery, theatre and the promenade.

This was a fabulous place to stay for the night. Every little detail had been thought of and it was very comfortable.

Loved Cherry Tree B&B;a warm welcome - Mel and Colin met us at the gate!A comfortable and quiet bedroom - loved the walk-in shower.Excellent breakfast - man-sized portions!My morning boiled eggwas expertly cooked by Colin each day - a soft yolk and set white each day without fail which takes some doing!At Mel’s suggestion we took the hop on hop on bus to Stirling Gap, and East Dean.An excellent stay and perfect weather.

I am known by my first name and the owners always have time for a chat. Food is excellent and good quality rooms are great well decorated and spotless. Nothing is to much trouble.

Stayed here for 2 nights. From the moment we arrived to when we left the hosts could not do enough. You can tell they want every guest to enjoy their stay and Eastbourne. Anything was not a problem. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed including water, toiletries, hairdryer and tea coffee facilities. There was a basket full of alcohol and goodies in the lounge area that you helped yourself to then paid for when you left. Lovely touch. We also took our dog which was very welcome. First time to Eastbourne and it didn’t fail to draw us in. So much diversity with the rolling hills, beach and marina. We will be returning. We have recharged and good to go again. This is a great B&B in a super location in Eastbourne.The host Mel is really lovely and very welcoming, the room was spotless and we had a delicious breakfast.We booked rhis as a dog friendly hotel and our two dogs couldn’t have been made more welcome.

Cherry Tree is a wonderful b&b and great service.Less than 5 minute walk from the beach and conveniently located for the pier and town.We all had different things for breakfast because there's amazing choice but the waffle our son had was the highlight of his whole trip.Very convenient for dogs and a few extras in place for things you might forget ‐like paw towels when they get messy at the beach!Definitely booking again.

Great guest house Malanie was so friendly and informative and everything about our stay was great. Very well located close to the front and good restaurants. Breakfast was superb. All of the staff were great and the rooms were very comfortable. We will definitely return next time we're in Eastbourne.

From the moment you step through the door you are made to feel right at home, especially our furry friend, Maisie the dog. The room was lovely with a very nice wet room attached. Clean, with amazing decor throughout. If you like a little quirky this is the place for you. Just look up at the trees as you walk in. Breakfast was amazing, lots of choice and a lot of it. Only stayed overnight to visit friends but I know where I will be staying in future.

Easy,free parking on wide pretty street. Nice cheery welcome from Melanie the owner. Quiet room. Pillows a bit flat. Lovely choice at breakfast.Impressed to see notice in entrance hall saying they are committed to using less plastic so disappointed to find plastic tooth mug , little plastic pots of milk , plastic bottles of water and individual toiletries in plastic bottles. I would go back there as the owners are lovely and it is in a great spot.

Stayed for one night on the 16th May 2023 . Great welcome on arrival from Colin and Melanie,The Cherry Treehas a lovely comfortable lounge which guests are welcome to use . There is free tea and coffee on offer just help yourself . Another nice touch is that they have a honesty basket with quality snacks and assorted drinks to purchase at very reasonable prices . The room we had was a good size with en-suite shower room . A very comfortable King size bed with lovely white linen . The room was furnished to a high standard and very clean . Tea and coffee making facilities in the room . Hair dryer a wardrobe cupboard with plenty of coat hangers . The room has central heating central heating there was a upright fan in the wardrobe should you need it . In fact it had everything you need to have a relaxing enjoyable stay . The breakfast is excellent, good quality local products all cooked fresh to order . Could not fault this B&B would definitely recommend it and would would certainly stay again .

We stayed at cherry tree hotel one evening after finishing a hiking trail at the South Downs Way.The owner and the young lady in charge were very nice, they helped us with all we need and have some tips about Easbourn. The hotel (the rooms, the garden, the living room) was amazing and beautiful.The breakfast was incredible good.I recommend 100% to stay here.Thanks a lot for the hospitality.Regards!

This B&B is close to the beach, right behind the famous Grand Hotel. The décor is lovely, and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

We were three business travellers from Germany and enjoyed the stay very much. The breakfast was delicious. The rules were tidy and it’s a very short way to the sea. I can recommend cherry tree guesthouse

Mel and Colin make you feel so welcome in this lovely cosy guesthouse. The rooms are comfortable and well-equipped and the breakfasts are to die for. Mel is a Vegan but her breakfasts are suitable for all - as long as you can eat enough for two! The owners go out of their way to help and the location is perfect - in the best end of Eastbourne, 5 minutes from the seafront and within short walks of several good restaurants : Italian, Thai, fish and chips and a decent wine bar. They are licensed and there is a lovely guest lounge to relax in. They welcome dogs in certain rooms.

Such a good place to stay if you want to party in town or go for a walk along the beach/ downs. All staff were exceptional. So friendly and helpful. The breakfast was the best we have ever had and the room really clean. We will be returning.

I found Cherry Tree guest on booking.com & made a booking about a year ago. Nearer the time for my stay I was sent an email with the details. I had a look at the website & found it was cheaper to book through the website & cancelled with booking.com with plenty of notice & no charge. I arrived at the guest house around 3pm & was greeted by Colin with a friendly welcome & nothing to much bother. In the morning I had a tasty breakfast by Melanie & she made me feel relaxed & was interested with my plans for the day. Lovely stay for my little trip away. Thank you 🙂

We had a lovely, overnight stay at The Cherry Tree Guest house. It is centrally located within easy reach of the beach, the Congress Theatre and a variety of restaurants. It has the added bonus of free, on street parking. The owners were extremely welcoming and friendly, the room was very clean and inviting and the breakfast was ample and delicious. We will definitely return if visiting Eastbourne in the future.

The best bed&breakfast we have ever stayed in. Close to the sea front and in a quiet location. Lovely warm comfortable rooms with every facility imaginable. Dog friendly. The full English breakfast was absolutely superb. The breakfast menu is incredible. My wife loved the waffles, and the best scrambled eggs she had ever tasted. The most important part, it is run by a lovely lady called Melanie. Caring, considerate, a real 'ambassador' for Eastbourne, a mine of information and so helpful and attentive. An absolute gem. We are already looking forward to returning to the Cherry Tree next year.

A comfortable and well-appointed room and very friendly and helpful staff.I had, by choice, only light breakfasts, but I could see that the cooked meals on offer were varied, lavish and much enjoyed by other guests.

Very pleasant stay overnight and a good breakfast. Perfect stop over.

Very courteous staff all round and welcoming by the owner.Breakfast was excellent with wide choice of food.Room and bed was comfortable and generally warm..The only downside was that the shower could be improved if it was a power shower instead of gravity feed but acceptable all the same.Hope to use the guest house again at some future date.Comments made are from a retired teacher, where improvements can always be made!!

The room was quiet and comfortable. Very nice breakfast and a really friendly host. Only thing to improve is the wifi. In room 10 it didn’t work.

This is our third stay at the Cherry Tree. As always it is just perfect. Walking distance to the many restaurants and shops, beach etc. The breakfast that is included in our stay is very good and lots to choose from. The lounge that you are welcome to use, to sit and relax has the facilities of complimentary tea and coffee, and an honesty box of drinks and snacks. You won’t be disappointed if you choose to stay here.

Once again had a lovely stay at the cheery tree, Mel the owner is a lovely lady nothing is to much trouble for her guests,her breakfast 10 out of 10 andof which there is a lot of verity is something we always look forward to when we stay, the hotel is very homely and welcoming the bedrooms are comfortable and have everything that you need during your stay, would recommend staying here and hope to return again in the future.

On arriving at The Cherry Tree, we were greeted by the very friendly and enthusiastic Melanie who runs the hotel with her partner. Our en-suite room was clean and comfortable.The hotel is on a street very close the seafront, busy in the daytime but quiet enough by bedtime. Breakfast was from a comprehensive menu catering for all tastes and my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our choices, cooked to order and quickly served by friendly young staff.

Great welcome from Mel and husband Colin. We had a really super lower ground floor room - probably the most spacious we've every had - with a great bathroom with shower and bath. Very impressed with the breakfasts - something for everyone and such generous portions. We were also impressed with the way the toiletries were replaced daily and the lovely biscuits - again replaced daily. We are really looking forward to returning.

We stayed here with our dog. We had a very warm welcome by Mel and the room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with everything you’d need for a night or two stay. Our dog was really the star guest! She even got a sausage at breakfast which was delicious. Would highly recommend as a dog friendly clean and comfortable place to rest your head on the doorstep of the beach and theatres in Eastbourne.

The hosts were friendly and the food was amazing. There was a wide choice of food for breakfast all served to the table. The table could have done with being a bit bigger as it was difficult to fit everything on but appreciate there was limited space.We hope to return especially as it is so close to the tennis centre.

I stayed for 3 nights, changing rooms after my first night. Both rooms were lovely and very well decorated with good facilities. Breakfasts were superb and staff were delightful. Parking was never an issue and the hotel is in a good position, just a few minutes from the town centre but near to beaches and brilliant walks. My dog loved it too! We will be back!

The minute my friend and I arrived at the wonderful Cherrytree, we were greeted with a warm smile from the host, all the information we needed and a helping hand in booking a taxi to the wedding we were to attend the following day.As promised, both breakfasts we had the pleasure of devouring at the Cherrytree were nothing short of phenomenal.The room was perfect, relaxing and very well stocked!All in all an outstanding stay and excellent value for money!

Located just one street back from the seafront and close to the centre of town, with easy street parking adjacent to the building.The room was small, but comfortable and quiet.The breakfast was a delight with a wide choice and the staff were pleasant and helpful.I’ve stayed here before and will stay again.

Having recently stayed in hotel that called itself dog-friendly but definitely wasn’t it was lovely to relax at Cherry Tree where my dog was treated as a V.I.P.My bedroom was small but adequate and the breakfasts were amazing, everything I could wish for and more. I couldn’t have made a better choice and am already looking forward to a return visit.

Our second stay - this time to go to the tennis, which is a very short walk away. Once again a warm welcome from Melanie, a great choice of great breakfasts, plenty of extras in the room and very clean and comfortable. Only slight niggle is that the water in the shower was not very warm in the morning but we are not early risers and assume other guests had used most of it. Still worth a 5* rating.

The room we had was finished well and was a large room. The bathroom was very well done. However the toilet seat was parting company with the toilet. The bath was a nice touch but being older we prefer a shower.

This was a real find! It’s situated just a short walk from the sea, with the Turner Art Gallery and Visitors Centre literally just around the corner. The owners and staff were really friendly and relaxed and it’s a dog friendly bnb so we could have our Patterdale with us. The rooms are beautiful and the whole place has a great vibe to it. But the highlight were the breakfasts - especially the scrambled eggs with turmeric on a bagel and the special porridge made with coconut milk, with shaved coconut, mango and a sprinkle of poppy seeds - absolutely gorgeous!

The room was very nice, we loved the location, lovely stuff, breakfast super! Highly recommend 😊

3rd year running staying at Cherry Treeand the standards and welcome as good as always. Great alround service with an excellent room and breakfast to start your day.

We stayed overnight for a party we were attending and were in room number 3, the house is lovely and welcoming but is not really suitable for disabled guests,I have recently had a stroke and although I am nearly fully mobile there are a number of steps up from the street and all of the rooms are upstairs, which would be impassable for anyone with more limited mobility. That said we found our room clean, bright and with a lovely view over the garden. The beds are comfortable and the bed linen was crisp and white, just like my mother used to use. The shower and toilet were well equipped with complimentary toiletries and towels but again would probably not be suitable for a fully disabled person due to the size of the room and shower cubicle. We went for the Sussex breakfast and neither myself or my daughter managed to finish it, my daughter was particularly impressed by the fact that they offered bagels as an alternative to toast. It is very reasonably priced and I would definitely stay here again.

I was in a single room which was a good size and well presented, very clean and tidy.Bottle of water provided free of chargePowerful shower good toiletries.Lots of choices for breakfast and plenty of it.I would recommend staying here. What a wonderful guest house we received a very warm welcome, the room and en suite were spotless, staff very friendlyand helpful situated in a lovely area near the seafront, the rooms are decorated really nicely and with a little bit of quirkiness

We had a very nice stay.Our host took time to inform us about the things to see in the neighbourhood and gave us some map.Breakfast was very good. Even our dog was spoiled with some sausages for breakfast !!The room was functional though a bit too small for a couple and a dog.

What a fabulous 1 night stay we have just had for a stopover after our theatre trip - very comfortable room with every little detail covered - very comfy bed & gorgeous bathroom. Breakfast excellent - every choice covered with lots of options for vegetarian, vegan & GF - lovely attentive staff who couldn’t do enough for us. Thoroughly recommend & we will definitely be back. If you are going to the theatre, this is the place to stay as a 5 minute walk away

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this establishment. The room was comfortable and clean. Surroundings were classy and loved the theme. Lovely BnB ideal for our family weekend away in Eastbourne. Nice breakfast, cosy and clean room. The only thing is the internet didn't work very well in our room (top floor) but the TV sufficed for one night

Alsof je op een feestje komt en dat was het voor ons.Je voelt je meer dan welkom en je hond ook. Er liggen zelfs handdoekjes voor je (natte) viervoeter klaar.Hou je van kleur, designers guild, frida kahlo, enzovoort, dan zit je hier goed. Wij hadden een hele leuke gezellige kleurrijke kamer met een goed bed, voorzieningen voor thee of koffie tot geurend geluk van ‘Be different’ in de badkamer.En dan het ontbijt, er is heel wat te kiezen. Eigenlijk had ik aan mijn cerials met verse blauwe bessen genoeg, maar ik kon de verleiding van de wafel op het ontbijt menu niet weerstaan. Ik heb nog nooit zo’n heerlijke wafel gegeten. Knapperig, vers zomer fruit, heerlijke Engelse clotted Cream en een kop heerlijke koffie er bij.Het is duidelijk dat dit hotel met veel liefde en aandacht is ingericht en gerund wordt.

Good B&B with enthusiastic and experienced owner running it. Small but nice, complete and clean room. Breakfast is very good. Located close to sea and hiking trails. Parking in the streat, nearby the B&B good advice for diner locations and any other questions you may have. Very helpful attitude. Simply very good. Only internet signal on top floor could be better.

Apart from driving along the road trying to find this address as we did'nt know the number until this moment,everything we wanted for the one night stay.

We had a beautiful breakfast, more than enough, a very comfortable bed and bedroom, and our little dog was made more than welcome and even had a cooked sausage for her breakfast!The only downside was we had to wait outside for 20 minutes before we were let in.We would definitely stay again, it is run by a super couple.

For our first family trip with our little baby girl ( 1yo ), we choosed The Cherry Tree Guest House. I used to live in Eastbourne and know quite well the aera and the location is ideal.Right from the booking, Melanie and Colin did everything to make our stay perfect and we felt home when passing through the entrance. We stayed in the basement with an ensuite and a baby cot was set in our room. The room was really cosy, clean and tidy. We were allowed to park our pushing chair in the entrance and a baby booster seat was set in the breakfast room.The breakfast, well a 5 star all way through! Absolutely massive and divine!The Cherry Tree ticks all the boxes and we will definitely come back.No need to search anywhere else!

Stayed one night after walking Eastbourne to Seaford in the day with my dog. Very welcoming, everything lovely and clean. Hot shower and a wonderful guest lounge to sit in the evening and a great breakfast in the morning.

We booked the Cherry Tree primarily because of it’s location. My wife and I travelled to Eastbourne to visit the Congress Theatre and wanted accommodation within walking distance. We were greeted by the owner Melanie and shown the lounge, breakfast room and our room. She was helpful and friendly from arrival to departure and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was huge!! We would definitely stay again if visiting the area in future.

Booked last minute trip for 2 adults 1 teenager 1 child & 2 dogs. Got 2 rooms right next door to each other. Fabulous warm welcome with lots of info of place & surrounding area. Rooms very clean & comfortable with towels & toiletries. Kids loved Netflix on the TV!! The lounge area was spacious with an honest fridge & basket filled with goodies 😉 Breakfast was outstanding with loads of choice, dogs got a sausage each & the teenager had a bacon sandwich to go as didn’t make it out of bed to get to breakfast! Would highly recommend and would definitely book again if in Eastbourne 🥰

The owner was very friendly and welcoming.The room was a twin room, it was decorated lovely, but was a bit small for 2 people. Shower was very small, a struggle to move around comfortably without hitting your arms on either the glass door or wall. Breakfast was amazing,i have never been feed so well. I can't recommend the Cherry Tree highly enough. The room was very cosy, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The whole house was in beautiful condition and spotlessly clean and ideally situated in Eastbourne very close to the sea front promenade. Melanie worked very hard to make us feel welcome and couldn't have done more to provide anything anyone could reasonably want for breakfast. Make sure you're hungry if you order the full Sussex!! Mel and Colin run an Honesty Hamper of drinks and snacks available all day in the immaculate lounge, along with additional tea and coffee that you can take out with you in lidded cups - just another very nice touch. The Congress Theatre is only a 5 minute walk away, and there are plenty of places to eat close by. We had a very pleasant 3 nightbreak at the Cherry Tree and wouldn't hesitate to book up again.

The hotel is ideally situated near the beach, public transport and town centre. The internal decor included historical references with a very casual design which was simple and welcoming. The room was comfortable and accommodating albeit slightly on the small side. The ‘Sussex English Breakfast’ was impressive supported by a food menu which offered a wide selection of meal choices. There was also an ‘honesty basket’ in the communal area that allowed guests to eat and drink items from a pre-selected basket/fridge and pay later. This was a nice touch. On Hotel.com, this establishment was advertised as ‘Pet Friendly’ with ‘Onsite Parking’ only to find it was ‘Dogs Only’ with ‘limited off-site free parking’. Although we were grateful for the owner to resolve both of these issues, it is the devil in the detail which makes the difference. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would recommend The Cherry Tree to anyone who is visiting Eastbourne.

Between the relaxing baths, the delicious waffle breakfasts, and the nice walks along the seafront, it was a nice retreat weekend.

Booked on the day to avoid travel during storm. Very good value. Separate lounge area. Good WiFi. En suite single room. Vegan / vegetarian friendly. No problem parking outside in the road.

Stayed overnight for work and was really happy with everything about my stay…Mel was incredibly welcoming and helpful from the get-go by giving restaurant recommendations nearby. The room was spacious for a single, the wifi worked well, and importantly the bed was extremely comfortable. Couldn’t fault the breakfast either, it was freshly cooked and locally sourced, and tasted amazing. Would absolutely stay again if visiting Eastbourne, the location was perfectly close to the beach and town with free on-street parking. Thank you so much.

We are frequent visitors to Eastbourne and as we were attending an event at the Congress Theatre the Cherry Tree was very convenient. We booked a King size room and was allocated Room 3. Whereas the room did have a king bed and everything you would need it was rather bijou as was the bathroom. The bedroom only had one chair (there wasn’t any room for another one!) and the bathroom was laid out well but very difficult to move around in. Having said all this, we were made very welcome by the owner, the breakfast was superb and the service was great. Would we stay again? only if a larger room was available.

Clean, quiet, comfortable single room and communal areas.Breakfast options were amazing and really delicious.I am not usually a breakfast person, but thoroughly enjoyed my breakfasts at Cherry Tree.Proprietors were welcoming, informative and yet not intrusive.I felt like I was a quest staying in a friends home.As a single lady I felt safe.General area was well situated, far enough away from the town centre to be quiet, but close enough to easily walk into town or the seafront.

The accommodation was great, the host made a very warm welcome and breakfast was fabulous. However, the bedding was dirty and looked like it hadn't been changed.

A lovely welcome. Very clean and tidy throughout. The cooked breakfast was very nice. Would stay here again. There are steps up to the front door and up to the bedrooms so you do need to be able to manage them.

I can not recommend here enough. Totally dog friendly and not just handbag size. Room top class, very comfortable had everything we needed including a comfortable bed which is so often hard to find. Breakfast oh my where do you start? I don’t think any top class hotel could offer better. The choice was amazing catering for all needs. Lovely lounge to relax in if you have time to spare. Close to the seafront. Yes free parking available in the road but do remember free is a premium at the coast so you may not be right outside. Will definitely be back. Thank you both.

Very happy with this room. I was there for only one night to help my wife so didn't need many extras. Everything was clean, shower was good, breakfast far more plentiful than I needed. Staff pleasant and welcoming.I couldn't get the TV to work, but was tired so gave up trying after a short time.Not a big deal, but would have been a problem if I'd been staying longer (but then I'd have got it sorted out!).

Huge room with a king size bed. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. Large TV and sofa.There was also a separate large bathroom.If I had one moan it would be that there was only a hand held shower over the bath.I would have preferred a walk-in shower.The breakfast was first class.We were able to park almost outside.I misunderstood about the parking and thought there was parking actually at the B&B.But it is on the street outside.It is free and we didn't have a problem finding a space.Easy walk from the property along the seafront or to the town centre.

Just stayed 4 nights. The bedroom was on the small side but it was perfectly adequate the decor was quirky but fun. There was everything you could want from hot drinks tray to lovely toiletries in the bathroom. Like the rest of the guest house everything and every where was spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were AMAZING. Plently of choice and plenty of food. You certainlydid not go hungry. Thankyou both for being fantastic hosts. Even though you were rushed off your feet most of the time you still found time to chat and give advice on things to do and see. Nothing was to much trouble. Thankyou both for a lovely stay.

The room was nicely decorated, the downstairs reception room was reserved for us to have breakfast together and the breakfast in itself was amazing. This is the sixth time we have stayed at The Cherry Tree. We love the quiet location, close to the beach, near to beautiful Beachy Head and the excellent Towner Gallery. Melanie and her husband are wonderful hosts who are knowledgeable about the area and do everything to make their guests comfortable. My husband and I stayed at the cherry tree B&B for two nights and really couldn’t fault it! Such a clean and welcoming B&B. We really appreciated the complimentary tea and coffee making facilities in our room and especially the added extras of biscuits and bottled water. The added extras really make this B&B stand out from other B&Bs we have used in the past. The huge choice of breakfast options was great and the cooked breakfast along with the scrambled eggs and salmon really was delicious. I would highly recommend this B&B and give it 5 stars for the fantastic hosts, great choice of breakfast, cleanliness and comfortable nights sleep. We will be back.

I arrived here really tired having done a strenuous long walk that day. I was welcomed and shown to my room by the friendly owner. Out of 3 nights away this was by far the most comfortable bed and most gorgeous breakfast. Plenty of towels and toiletries supplied plus an honesty fridge and supplies which were much appreciated. A spacious communal room too. Wonderful!

Great location close to the beach, South Downs walks and restaurants. Mel and Colin are superb hosts with loads of knowledge to share about Eastbourne and surrounding area. Room was a double at the back of the b&b, cosy but adequate size for two, the bathroom is very small (but works for the space it has). Breakfast menu is great and can accommodate most diets. Easy check-in/check-out and very clean.

The bed was very comfortable.I was doing a half ironman aqua bike race early the next morning so would not be around for breakfast.They very kindly left me breakfast in my room which included a banana, porridge, bread to be toasted, a snack bar and orange juice.Much appreciated. We found this Guest House on Booking.com. We stayed in a ground floor room which was large with a king Bed and an enormous TV. We slept very well and although a road away from the sea front it was quiet.Breakfasts were one of the best we’ve had and we found out all food products were from the immediate community where the resource was there. The fresh fruit Compots were very refreshing. The full English breakfast was very clean, hot and proportions very good including thick bacon. Bread canoe in many whole food forms, not just cheap bread! Also had scrambled egg and salmon on malt brown bread, again one of the best I’ve had and we do stay in 5 star hotels!Friendly owners and clearly aim to make the stay a good experience.

From our arrival to leaving Melanie and her team looked after us. A lovely (and very) dog friendly guest house who greeted our dog by name and made sure we were well looked after and had everything we needed for the duration of our stay. The breakfast was amazing, and it was lovely to sit and relax in the lounge with tea/coffee/honesty bar available. A great location in Eastbourne and we found parking on a very nearby street with no problem.

We had to cancel as I was poorly yesterday and couldn't travel, we tried to re-arrange for thursday night but they said they had no vacancies but now there are vacancies on the website, we lost our money and being pensioners hit us quite hard.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Cherry Tree. We love small and friendly accommodations and this was just that. Very friendly host’s , providing everything you need for the perfect stay. Location is great, central to all amenities and site seeing. Melanie is very knowledgeable of the area and recommended plenty of things to see and do. Perfect for our little dog too, with dog friendly grass area and beach across the road and lovely park a short walk away. All suited us perfectly for our short breakaway.

We had an excellent stay, the owners were very friendly and welcoming and really love dogs which made us feel at ease having our dog with us. The rooms were clean and tidy and the breakfast was delicious, even our dog got a sausage! Would definitely stay again.

The place is located near seafront as mentioned. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Made us feel comfortable and helpful with local tips and suggestions. We were lucky to get a beautiful spacious room and attached bathroom. There was a huge range of breakfast which we have been looking forward to. The breakfast was fine. The Cherry Tree is a short walk from where my sister lives and I've recently had my 3rd stay since December 2019.I'm always made to feel so welcome and now it feels like coming home!Comfortable, clean with a substantial breakfast as well as a snack and drinks bar to buy from in a comfortable sitting room which is always open.I love it and wouldnd't think of staying anywhere else in Eastbourne.

It's very nice and cozy place to stay. Me and my husband we stayed at B&B for 3 nights. Rooms are very nice and cozy. Room had everything what we needed(bathroom, hairdryer, space to make tea, coffee, mineral water) Breakfast was amazing very nice, fresh, quick, testy and a lot of choices. Ladie was very nice, polite, very helpful. One minus it was us room was not very clean( not us socks under bed and little bit dusted) , but all the rest was perfect. Very highly recommended for everyone.

This is the second time I've stayed here. This time I returned with my husband and our dog. We were made very welcome, as a dog owner herself, Melanie ensured there was everything you need when travelling with a dog-including treats, dog towels and a bowl as we forgot ours!

A really welcoming guest house, which was 20 minutes walk from the country park and metres from the seafront. The rooms were fresh and clean and Mel and Colin were very warm and friendly, suggesting alternative routes around the Downs.

Everything from our room to the owners was lovely during our stay, a lovely room and comfortable bed the breakfast was amazing (10 out of 10) was made to feel very welcome by Melanie,we loved the lounge area had a at home feel about it,would definitely visit again .

This was the first time we stayed at Cherry Tree, and it won’t be our last. We were made very welcome. We stayed one night in a double room, the hippo room! The bed was comfortable, the shower en-suite lovely and hot. We used their stylishly decorated lounge in the evening to relax and took advantage of their free drinks and free Homemade yummy Rocky Road cake (or is it a biscuit)? Their breakfast was absolutely delicious and fresh.

Located on a quiet street but very handily located close to Eastbourne’s sea front (less than 5 mins) we spent an enjoyable couple of days at The Cherry Tree.It was the right end of Eastbourne for being able to walk to Beachy Head, handily could leave the car parked on the street for free but still only a 10-15 walk from the town centre for plenty of choice for evening meals. The Cherry Tree does the most generously sized breakfasts and lots of choice - we didn’t need lunch! Melanie was a very friendly host and if we were in the area again, we would be happy to come back.

We had a wonderful stay at the Cherry Tree. It was an impromptu trip to Eastbourne. We had a gorgeous room and both ourselves and our dog were made to feel so welcome. We would love to come back!The sea and the town are within easy walking distance. We had a gorgeous veggie breakfast, and were kindly served outside. It honestly couldn’t have been a better choice. We would thoroughly recommend it as a lovely place to stay!

Lovely one night stay at The Cherry Tree.Our room was compact but comfortable and well appointed. The breakfast was delicious and Melanie was very knowledgeable about the area.It is a quick 3 minute walk to the seafront and a short stroll to the Meads village which has some interesting buildings and some great pubs.

The bedrooms are clean, well laid out and comfortable, public areas are welcoming and the lounge has refreshments available whatever the time of day.The location is great with easy, and free, street parking, with the hotel close enough to walk into the centre in 5/10 minutes or along the front but far enough out to be quiet. And finally - the breakfasts - fantastic choice with the freedom to pick and choose elements to fit what you fancy, all well prepared and super tasty!

A very well located hotel near to the beach and useful and interesting local shops while being quiet at night. The room was comfortable and well supplied with essentials including hot drinks, biscuits and water. Excellent choice of breakfast options and it was nice to be able to eat outside but in the shade. Breakfast service was a bit erratic and I was not offered some options the first day (juice, fruit) though other guests had them. Hosts were very welcoming.

The owners certainly made us feel really welcome - chatty and helpful - so the atmosphere was relaxed and that made it very easy to talk to other guests too -and I felt that every precaution had been taken in the pandemic. The breakfast was varied with a delicious cooked option and a lovely variety of healthy options.The room was super clean and well appointed - although I had a room downstairs at the back so was a bit noisy from neighbours etc.The b and b was right by the sea but tucked away with fairly available free parking. Excellent - would recommend!

Melanie and Colin are wonderful hosts and go ‘the extra mile’ to ensure guests are comfortable and well-fed. Rooms are clean and well-furnished. Our king size bed was extremely comfortable. During these times of important and necessary covid-19 precautions, all measures have been taken to ensure customer health and safety without impairing the holiday atmosphere. Special mention for the delicious breakfasts which cater for all dietary needs.

Very good, comfortable accommodation with a generous hospitality tray in each bedroom.In addition there were free hot drinks in the lounge.Breakfasts were wonderful, I loved the red berries fruit salad from a local allotment.The cooked breakfast was yummy.Mel was afount of information about the local area, very handy during lockdown.On her recommendation we visited Camilla's bookshop and purchased several volumes.

A few years ago I stayed here since when it has changed hands.It was good then but even better now! Clean (very!), comfortable and cosy with lovely homely touches. A huge choice of breakfasts and some unusual options, beautifully cooked and presented. There is a guest lounge with tea, coffee, hot chocolate on tap and a range of drinks and snacks which can be purchased. Wonderful!

We were made to feel very welcome and the location was brilliant for the front, restaurants and Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters and we were helped to see a lot in a short time.

My third visit to The Cherry Tree on two of the hottest days in August. Great for tennis fans using Devonshire Park. A warm welcome always awaits and nothing is too much trouble for the hosts. Great breakfast choices and free tea/coffee in TV lounge is welcome after an evening stroll along the promenade.Always my first choice for a short stay as reasonably priced for the service offered.

My husband and I recently stayed at over night at Cherry Tree B&B. From the moment we were greeted by Mel we were made to feel most welcome. The bedroom was lovely albeit cosy but every little detail had been well thought through. We were shown around and told about the local amenities without prompt. The breakfast was amazing and again every little detail thought through. There was a huge choice including a specials board to break up the normal breakfast offerings. We will most definitely be returning to this guest house.

Very welcoming B&B. Enjoyed our 3-night stay in the king-size bedroom. Spacious room with big bed, two chairs, and TV. The en-suite had good bath with shower and lighted mirror over a small sink. Good atmosphere downstairs with quirky (old-fashioned animals) wallpaper in the breakfast room and delicious food to die for. Large lounge. An overall nice hotel.

I had a single room. I arrived at the Cherry Tree after two weeks of hiking, and up until my arrival at the Cherry Tree I had been in the UK for six weeks, during which I had stayed mainly in B&Bs. So I have lots of B&B experience. At the Cherry Tree my room, the welcome and the breakfast all surpassed my expectations. The Cherry Tree is conveniently located for South Downs Way walkers, being about 10 minutes' walk from the high street on the SDW side. Highly recommended.

The Cherry Tree guest house is in a superb location with free parking. The room was very clean and comfortable and had room to accommodate our dog crate. There were thoughtful touches such as biscuits to accompany the tea and coffee in the room. The breakfast was truly delicious with vegetarian options catered for and a wonderful array of fresh fruit. Although dog friendly, please be aware that dogs are not allowed in the dining room for breakfast and this was the only thing stopping us award five stars.

We stayed in The Cherry Tree as we were attending a wedding at The Grand Hotel in Eastbourne. It was ideally located just around the corner so was so easy to get to. Mel and Colin made us feel very welcome and helped us with all our queries about the locality. The rooms were comfortable and although small(ish) they provided every facility we required. The breakfasts were amazing with an extensive choice and beautifully cooked. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again in the future for a fraction of the price of The Grand.

This guest house was chosen for its near proximity to the Welcome Centre where various conference take place, a walk of no more than five minutes. A simple but delightfulguest house where attention to detail can be seen. There’s the lounge for those wanting a quiet moment. Breakfast is a must when away on holiday or business and you wLl not be disappointed with the service you will receive here. I decided on trying the Sussex breakfast, a plateful of good food and I will remember enjoying. Bedrooms can make or break a holiday and here you will find well extremely designed suites full of the essential one would require. A selection of toiletries, coffee and teas, biscuits and that much needed hair dryer. Marks out of ten has got to be ten. Value for money I would say so and your hosts a wonderful couple o make your stay pleasurable. So if you looking for somewhere to stay in Eastbourne check out this place first before someone else will beat you to it first.

Cosy room with comfy beds. Lovely breakfast with plenty of choice. Local to restaurants and little shops and near to seafront but away from hustle of main town. Lovely walks along seafront. Only minus is sink in twin room very small with shelf above which restricts access somewhat to wash face. Very friendly hosts.

Wonderful accommodation and food and the best Lounge ever for winding down at the end of the day with all your friends. We arrived with a group of friends at the Cherry tree Guest house and we were welcomed warmly by the hosts. We had nice rooms, with slightly narrow beds, but very clean and cosy. The breakfast was fantastic, the best home made choices and a very friendly service and atmosphere in the dining room.

If you are looking for a wonderful place to stay in Eastbourne, look no further.We have been to Eastbourne twice in the last twelve months and have stayed at The Cherry Tree Guest House both times.The rooms are very spacious and extremely comfortable. The food provided for breakfast is very varied and delicious.The proprietor has a great knowledge of the town and can provide excellent advice on where to visit.We cannot recommendthis establishment enough.

Very comfortable, relaxed, warm and friendly. The room was clean, comfortable and more than well equipped. Some nice detail such as USB charger, plenty of tea, coffee and bottled water. Lovely lounge area with a well-stocked honesty snacks box, wine and beer too, all on trust. The breakfast is absolutely to die for and I can't think of anything that wasn't on offer. I will be back! As usual a wonderful stay. It is a real home from home and we love staying at Cherry Trees for our annual conference.Everything is super clean and very comfortable. Wonderful hosts too.

We stay here each year as we are at Bible by the Beach. We always get a warm welcome and the room is always exceptionally clean and tidy. Breakfasts are excellent, well cooked and such a wide range of choice.

We stayed for 1 night in Eastbourne and had a fantastic stay. Everything is in walking distance and the beach is just around the corner. Mel was very helpful advising dog friendly pubs, walks and answer any questions we had. The breakfast was amazing. (I had a delicious vegetarian option). The room was very comfortable and we could use the downstairs lounge to chill out with our dog. The whole place is decorated very stylish. Thanks Mel and husband.

We only stayed at the Cherry Tree for one night wish it was more,wonderful place everything you could ask for.The people are so welcoming and the breakfast was out of this world

Friendly staff. Colin and Melanie were very helpful and told us about all the bars and coffee houses that accept dogs. Breakfast was very good and filled you up for a day of tourist activity. Location a short walk from the beach and far enough to get a parking space which are hard to get in Eastbourne. Will be coming back.

We enjoyed our first stay so muchwe came back! Had a lovely stay and really appreciated the flexibility of breakfast time (OH was running the Brighton marathon). Each room is unique and beautifully decorated, and the breakfast is just amazing. Couldn't ask for better hospitality.

Lovely stay at Cherry Tree, and hard to find fault with it really. Super friendly welcome, and had noticed my message through booking.com about non dairy milk, which was also acknowledged at check in which was great.The breakfast options were fantastic in the morning with a whole host of options including lots of veggie, vegan, and non dairy options. Downstairs also has a lovely lounge with an honesty bar sticking snacks and drinks too which was great.As a solo taveller, I opted for a single room and for two nights, this was absolutely fine for me. Very clean, and again, great to even have a soya milk for tea in my room.The only suggestions I'd have any future work taking place in the 'Anne of Green Gables' room would be to replace the current sink with a full size one as the current one is too small to really wash your face in (I used the bath taps instead), but this certainly wouldn't stop me staying here again or recommending it to others.Thanks for a great stay :)

We always stay at the Cherry Tree when we come to Eastbourne. The beds are very comfy indeed and the breakfast is the best I've had in a long time. A particularly good place to stay with young children. Mel couldn't have done more to help. Looking forward to our next visit.

This is an absolutely lovely guesthouse, perfect for a long weekend in Eastbourne which is what I and for. Mel and her husband who own and run the guesthouse were incredibly accommodating and helped me out with everything I could have needed help with- what to do, where to get buses from, leaving my suitcase in their care after check out etc. They have a great communal kitchen and living room where guests can hang out as well. I really enjoyed my stay with them!

Absolutely lovely B&B! It is the second time that I stayed there and I love the place. The owner makes you feel like at home. The place is really nice and cozy and the breakfast is amazing. I wished I could have stayed longer!

We were made very welcome by Mel the owner. Our room was very warm and comfortable. The breakfast choice was amazing even catering for my husbands gluten free diet, with no fuss. Very well located for the theatres and sea front. We wishedwe were staying for more than one night. Never mind another time.

Mel and Colin are fantastic hosts and made us feel so welcomed. The B&B is in a great location for everything and an easy walk to the pier. The sea front is less than 2 minutes away. Rooms are lovely, well decorated and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding, everything you could want and more. We stayed in room 4 with the amazing knitted rhino head! The bed was very comfortable and there were windows on 2 sides and a desk. There's a lovely large living room for guests with an honesty bar/ snacks and free tea and coffee. The breakfast was included in the price with many choices all delicious. Local produce is used wherever possible and Melanie has plenty of recommendations of places to visit. We would certainly come here again.

Always try and book the Cherry Tree when I am on my annual visit to Eastbourne. It is even better now having had something of a facelift. Breakfast is superb and the room is comfortable and superbly clean. I'm already planning the next trip.

This was the 3rd time i had stayed at The Cherry Tree. As ever Melanie's attention to detail was flawless. As a Coeliac i need to be very careful about my diet. Melnie provided everything i needed for breakfast and even provided gluten free biscuits for my room. I will definitely return. It is ideally placed for a beautiful sunrise walk along the sea front.

Visiting Eastbourne for a family funeral,we stayed with Melanie and Colin at the Cherry Tree. They gave us such a warm welcome it was like staying with family. nothing was too much trouble even though some of us were not very fit.The en.suite rooms were very comfortable with T.V. hair dryer, Iron, and facilities for making all sorts of drinks. The breakfast menu was second to non, including foods for all sorts of allergies and home made jams etc. All this and spotlessly clean. certainly the best guest house we have ever visited, Even your dog is welcome.

The Cherry Tree looks beautiful from the outside and is perfectly decorated and tidy and clean inside. So many personal touches. The welcome was so kind and genuine, and my suitcase was carried upstairs for me. I wish I could have stayed longer, I would definitely stay there again. The breakfast was delicious- so many vegan options I was stuffed. I only have one negative thing to say and that is the shower in the single room is loud and not so powerful, it improved after a while, but that is the only negative. The other positives massively outweighed the slow to respond shower! See you again in the future!

Back again in Eastbourne for a few days, we decided to stay for the second time in this hotel. Why? Because the firstwe liked the kindness of the owners, the location near the beach and near town centre, our rooms provided with tea, water, coffe, the cosy lounge... the tasty breakfast..

Melanie is a font of local knowledge. Breakfast are not you normal straight forward ones but interesting. The lounge is a great place to relax at the end of the day and talk with fellow guests.One of the best b&bs we have stayed in, well run amd maintained.

Very much enjoyed our stay at Cherry Tree Guest House. It's in a great location being 1 minutes walk from the beach & only a short walk into town. The free on street parking is a bonus. The rooms were very clean & well decorated as was the whole of the guest house. Breakfast was delicious & very filling. We found our hosts very welcoming to ourselves as well as our four legged friend.Recomend a stay there.

We were a family of 4 adults and a 3.5 year old. The hosts could not have been more welcoming with special amenities for the child. Books, nightlite, special dishes at breakfast. We had a super stay, gaining weight from the superior breakfasts. Parking a worry but not a problem.

Cosy place very close to Eastbourne city center and the pier (10 minute walk). Only a ten minute drive up to the white cliffs of Beachy Head and Seven Sisters. Very tasty breakfast and excellent hosts.

My wife and I stayed one night on the hottest night of the year. Our room was comfortable and nicely decorated and had the usual tea and coffee making facility. Our only small gripe was the size and access to the en suite shower... a very large guest would probably find access impossible.However, this was more than made up for by the excellent cooked breakfast and friendly reception we received from the owner. Overall a nice stay !

What a little gem! My first visit to eastbourne and what a lovely warm welcome my husband and I had from The Proprietor. Great location for town centre, local reataurants , theatre and of course the sea front. Theroom was excellent habing recently been refurbished!A great home cooked breakfast to suit all tastes.Melanie provided us with better information than the local Tourist Board.

Delightful guest house, Mel, the owner, is wonderful and very accommodating. Honesty bar in lovely big lounge where we sat and enjoyed a glass of wine and some chocolate. Breakfast in a quirkily decorated dining room, caters for all allergies, intolerances, vegans, vegetarians with a very creative menu.Only down side was room and bathroom was small which didn't matter as we were only there one night and up two flights of stairs which might be difficult for some people so would mention this when booking.

It's likely we'll be back next year!Our room had both a both and shower, which we appreciated. The only comment would be the shower hose was fixed so the water was difficult to direct, particularly if we wanted to wash our hair.

l stayed there to walk Southdowns way. I arrived in Heathrow Airport in the afternoon and took Heathrow express, Underground and finally train from London Victoria. Cherry Tree Guest House is just 15-minute walk from the train station. The room is smaller but really cozy. Breakfast is superb with Very Vege choice, which I sadly miss to order. They have good cheese and ham. On top of that sourdough big country bread that tastes fantastic. I hope to stay there some day in the future again.

This is a wonderfully friendly place. Today I watched the proprietor each for and find a pair of walking boots for a guest who had forgotten her own and post to walk her dog. That is exceptional service, wrll done Mel and Colin.

We very much enjoyed our stay. We were made to feel very welcome. The tea and homemade cake on arrival was very much appreciated. Everything was spotlessly clean and appeared well cared for. We particularly liked the idea of the honesty picnic basket in the communal lounge, the games and the opportunity to take home a book. Our room was warm and comfortable. The bathroom was very small but adequate with a good power shower.The only downside was that there may have been a problem with the extractor fan in the bathroom as there was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom.We were extremely impressed with the breakfast and how all dietary needs were catered for. The food was plentiful and tasty. Staff were very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.

We were greeted with a warm welcome & given a choice of 2 rooms available, Mel gave us various leaflets about the the local area with good recommendations of places to eat. The Cherry Tree Guest House is exceptionally clean & with a comfortable bed and a good attention for detail, the dining room was tastefully decorated & the breakfast was well presented & very tasty. We would not hesitate to stay again or recommend to family or friends. Well done.

This is the second time I have stayed at the Cherry Tree. It is spotlessly clean throughout and my en-suite single room was spacious and comfortable, with TV and tea making facilities. A tasty and substantial breakfast set me up for the day exploring or walking on the cliffs. Melanie and Colin are the perfect hosts and nothing is too much trouble. I hope to be back!

My wife and I stayed here with our two friends. The situation of this Guest House is excellent. Close to the Bandstand, theatres, the pier and the town centre. Our stay was very comfortable and quiet. The owners were very friendly. Breakfast was amazing. So much choice. All food is locally sourced and was so tasty. Lovely guest house in a great location. The beach was just round the corner, yet it was a really lovely quiet road. Beds very comfortable. Shower pressure wasn't very good, so spent longer than usual showering, but on holiday, so in no rush!

Room and facilities are great, as is the friendly service. Convenient location for town or seafront. Like much of Eastbourne, the on street car parking is limited compared to the number of residents and visitors, so you may need to park a few streets away and walk as I did.

Melanie and Colin were lovely hosts and very knowledgeable about the area. They have struck a nice balance between casual/comfortable and professional. Our room was very well furnished and clean, with quality tea and coffee making facilities, breakfast was lovely with lots of options, including vege and all in all, we had a nice stay. What makes The Cherry Tree outstanding for us though, is their approach to children. It is easy to find hotels/bb's that say they are child friendly, but completely different to find one that puts its money where its mouth is. The Cherry Tree is completely child friendly - we were provided with small camp bed and bedding for our three year old in our double room, offered toys and games for our daughter, a small booster chair was left on her seat at breakfast with children's crockery and cutlery laid out. There were lots of thoughtful touches and Melanie even introduced their lovely dogs and gave our daughter some shells at the end of our stay. As a family, we recommend The Cherry Tree 100%.

This has got to be the best B&B we have stayed in! Melanie and Colin were the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast menu was amazing! Also catering for gluten free which was great for my husband. We had a lovely room with plenty of space andwonderfully comfy beds. We have already booked again for next year!

My friend and I had spent 8 days walking the South Downs Way 100 miles from Winchester. We walked the last, hilly and spectacular 10.5 miles from Alfriston on a glorious sunny day, arriving in Eastbourne at Cherry Tree Guest House.We were tired, sweaty and in need of good cheer and a hot bath. The welcome to the Cherry Tree Guest House was very welcome and the room was really nice. Located on a quiet street, it's a short walk from the pier and about 15 minutes' walk to the station. Bathroom and the room were very clean and tidy. The bed was slightly hard to my taste, but that's just me. The breakfast was great. I had the Sussex Breakfast, but upon seeing the marvellous waffle option I got a little food envy and would definitely go for that on my next visit!

My stay at the Cherry Tree was only for one night but it certainly had all the things that matter to me when staying in hotels and guest houses. My room was, clean, neatly furnished and comfortable - and quiet, something that is particularly important to me. The breakfast room was very pleasant and relaxing and my breakfast, chosen from a varied, well-considered menu, was first class. Added to that was the friendliness and charm of easy-going and accommodating hosts, Mel and Colin. So, all in all, a perfect stay! I shall definitely look to stay at the Cherry Tree on my next visit to Eastbourne.

This guest house is in an excellent location for the seafront and the town, and plenty of nearby road parking.I felt perfectly safe as a single female returning late to the guest house.Single room was very well decorated, high standard of furnishings, and with shower/WC, TV, kettle & tea tray. I was offered vegan and gluten free options, herbal teas, soya milk etc Mel was very accommodating.Lovely front garden to sit in (because you are off the main seafront its quiet and peaceful).Breakfast options were amazing and cooked fresh to order. Although I have no reason to visit Eastbourne again it would be worth going just to stay here again :)

Booked at last minute as needed somewhere for the night working in Eastbourne. On arrival I was booked in by one of the family who showed me to my room then served me a pot of tea in the comfortable lounge. The room was very small and the bed a bit narrow for someone who is 6'4 but I slept Ok and everything was very clean.The breakfast was superb with a good selection of home made jams and cakes and a great cooked choice using local produce.I understand the current owners have only been there for a month and are in the process of tweeking things so I wish them all the best and hope they do well.They're off to a great start and I would highly recommend Cherry Trees

The guest house was pleasing to the eye, very clean and well decorated. I was treated well by the manager and the breakfast was very nice. However I only managed to get 4 hours sleep because the guests next door kept slamming their doors until 1am. Then from 5.15am onwards, I heard the guests upstairs stamping around like a herd of elephants. This beautiful guest house really needs better sound insulation.

We spent a lovely weekend walking in the Seven Sisters country park. The Cherry Tree is well placed for this as it is only a couple of miles from Beachy Head and only 15 minutes walk from central Eastbourne and the pier.Our room was a reasonable size and the ensuite bathroom was well finished. Everything was clean and well prepared. There was a good selection for breakfast and everything was cooked to order.We would recommend this B&B.

The hotel is convenient for the promenade, town centre shops and other tourist attractions such as the theatre and Devonshire Park.It is clean and cosy and has a friendly atmosphere. The breakfast is good. Parking is roadside but that did not cause a problem.The bedrooms and en-suite facilities are very clean but on the small side.

It was spotlessly Clean, very Comfortable, and Convenient for the theatre. The breakfast was also very good. Will definitely go there again.

Excellent service, with exceptionally clean rooms and brilliant attention to detail. I will definitely stay again! Very friendly staff and has a really homey feel! Plus the best scrambled eggs ever!

I was running Sussex coastal endurance very helpful booked me a taxi I was a bit late arriving and actually rang me to check where I was which was nice very nice place I had a late check out as well

We had a lovely stay at the Cherry Tree and were given a warm welcome on arrival. Our room was very comfortable. Breakfast was good. Location is great, close to town, seafront and theatres.

I have stayed at the Cherry Tree Guest House on quite a number of occasions as my daughter is a student at the University.Great location; only a short walk to the sea front and town and always great accommodation and hospitality.I very much look forward to staying with Carol and Richard again later this year.
